FAMILY MEDICINE
Dr. Janelle K. House, D.O., is a doctor of osteopathic medicine specializing in family medicine. She is in practice with Impact Family Wellness (formerly Country Meadows Clinic) in Thorndale, Texas, offering primary care for the entire family – from seniors to children.
Growing up, Dr. House knew she wanted to follow in her family’s footsteps (her father and uncles were physicians). However, she wanted to have a career in an area of the healthcare system that was underserved which is why she opted for Geriatric Healthcare.
To begin her education, she attended the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. From there, she went on to achieve a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University. It was at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas where she completed an internship, followed by a residency and Geriatric Fellowship at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
Over the last 24 years, Dr. House has practiced as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, specializing in family medicine. She has treated and helped countless patients throughout her career. In 2018, Dr. House joined Impact Family Wellness, where she offers primary care for the entire family. At the clinic, IV Vitamin therapy is available to help both temporary and chronic conditions.
Dr. House holds a license to practice medicine in both Texas and Oklahoma, and as a result, is affiliated with Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – College Station.
As an Osteopathic Physician, Dr. House favors a full-body approach when it comes to treating her patients and considers all illnesses and symptoms. She prides herself on listening to her patients, allowing plenty of time to address any concerns they have, ensuring they receive the best possible care and attention.
Dr. House’s outstanding work hasn’t gone unnoticed, having been recently recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a trusted name in family medicine, as well as for her excellent work at Impact Family Wellness.
As a result of her academic career and her dedication to clinical excellence, Dr. House is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) – an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages and genders.
To keep up to date with developments in the field, Dr. House is an active member of the American Medical Directors Association, Medical Director for Milam County Health Department, Medical Director for Camrock Clinic in Rockdale, TX and Cameron, TX, the Texas Geriatric Society, the American College of Family Practice Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr House is also the Medical Director at the following nursing homes in Texas: Harmony Care of Giddings, Copperas Hollow Nursing Home, Rockdale Estates, Legacy Nursing and Rehab, and the Regency Manor.
When she’s not treating patients, Dr. House utilizes her master’s degree in Music, often playing the piano and organ. She also enjoys embroidery, quilting, gardening, and traveling.
